Not So Fast My Friends by Lew

Imagine a rollercoaster. You stand in line, wondering what it will be like and if the wait is worth it. You get locked in and sometimes wonder why you do it. You trod along slowly to the top of the first hill knowing there is no turning back. You reach the crest of the hill, though brief, and look about as though you are on top of the world, with lingering thoughts of what if . You proceed to scream and/or hold on for dear life as you blaze down the first drop. You traverse a a series of ups, downs, twists, turns, and possibly a loop-d-loop or two. You catch your breath, smile, and coast to the finish.

I think this accurately describes the past 30 weeks of our lives, and most definitely everyone has been on this sort of ride as well, all things considered.

I'm not quite sure if we are currently in a series of ups and downs or twists and turns; a loop-d-loop; or coasting in to the finish. I do know we are well past the first drop and have muddled our way through at least one loop-d-loop and a couple ups and downs along the way...

All of The Quads had their lowest Doppler readings to date at this mornings appointment - with all, let me repeat that, ALL babies showing good diastolic flow!

Believe it!

Was it the roids? No, those are for the lungs. Was it the bedrest? Depends on who you ask...

At this point, we are kinda thinking maybe the roid trigger got pulled a weee bit too fast?

We have questions that will hopefully be answered by our doctors today. Primarily, if The Quads continue to show good diastolic flow, will Tonya be allowed to carry past next Monday?

I will hit ya'll with a posting tonight with more updates.

Oh, one more thing - Baby B declined an interview at todays appointment. BUT, I thought I saw it exercising, kind of acting WOMBASTIC! Boy or girl???????????

And the ride continues...

Hi guys! Thinking of you as you reach the end of this pregnancy- wow I can't believe how fast the time has gone- I am just glad that they are where they are supposed to be right now. Trying to imagine Tonya in bed all day... I am sure she has never watched a soap opera in her life. How many excuses have you come up with to get out of that bed? Just remember it is not forever, and the babies need you to rest!! Take care- can't wait to hear the exciting news that they are here! We will be thinking of you in good ole' Curtis Michigan this weekend- next year will be the best when you guys come in a 5th wheel with all the kiddies!

Hi! WOW!! What a story. Kristen Wheeler put it on our Alpha Gam message board. Neil & I (Lisa)are Tech alums and we have six children but ours all came one at a time. We were just up in Bellaire, Neil's parents live on Crystal Springs Rd. We will add your family to our family prayers every night. Especially for God's Grace that you continue to walk with Him in all that you do. Your choice of life is a great testimonial and especially with your joy (that can only be found in Him!)
Our clan is 15 to 4 and a few angels in Heaven at the foot of the throne praying for us, Just like your angel! May God bless and keep you.

Jeremy, you keep on mentioning "roids" over and over again. Those of us from a generation or two before yours have a totally different definition of that word, so you just might want to use the word "steroids" instead, if that is what you mean!

Good words.
